Job summary

Qualifications

• Education/Experience Required: Less than High School education or one month related experience, training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• License Requirement: Valid state-issued driver's license with valid address and acceptable driving record if driving on company business.
• Availability to Work: Special shift requirements; 2nd/3rd shift and/or weekends may be required.
• Language Skills: Ability to read and understand simple instructions and communicate effectively.
• Mathematical Skills: Basic arithmetic with cash handling.
• Appearance: Neat, clean appearance in uniform.
• Physical Demands: Standing, walking, occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Direct incoming customers to available parking spaces.
• Count vehicles on location throughout shift.
• Write and issue violation warnings for policy violations.
• Patrol parking levels on foot or with motor carts.
• Assist customers who forgot where they parked.
• Be punctual and in uniform for every shift.
• Assist customers and route questions to the Facility Manager as needed.
• Control traffic at entrances and exits.
• Assist in maintenance and repair of parking equipment and general tasks as directed by the Facility Manager.
• Report accidents or safety hazards to the Facility Manager.
• Communicate debris, spills to garage office.
• Substitute for Valets when authorized.
• Have thorough knowledge of all garage areas and local landmarks.
