Job summary

The City of Edina is seeking a Maintenance Technician II for Centennial Lakes Park to maintain park buildings and grounds and assist with events. The role uses grounds and facilities equipment, performs routine cleaning, minor repairs, snow removal, and safety checks to ensure daily operations are safe and welcoming for the public.

Physical outdoor work is common. Applicants should be able to work independently, communicate effectively, and follow safety guidelines while supporting city services

Qualifications

• Must be 16+ years old and have a valid MN driver’s license.
• Customer service experience and outdoor park/facility experience preferred.
• Ability to operate building and grounds maintenance equipment safely.
• Ability to perform minor repairs and prioritize work independently.
• Strong communication skills with the public and City staff.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment for maintenance of grounds and facilities including snow removal equipment.
• Ensure buildings and grounds are operational and safe for daily functions.
• Inspect all assigned areas and identify issues or safety concerns.
• Keep walkways and areas free of snow, ice and debris; report issues to manager.
• Clean and maintain buildings and grounds (floors, windows, restrooms, trash).
• Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance on buildings and grounds.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
