The North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources (DNCR) seeks a Maintenance/Construction Technician II (S) for Chimney Rock State Park. This role performs semi-skilled trades, maintains park grounds, buildings and equipment, and may supervise staff or volunteers on special projects. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday 8:30 A.M.–5:00 P.M.

with possible evenings or weekends. The position requires a valid U.S.

Competenze

• Demonstrated work experience performing two or more trades among carpentry, plumbing, electrical and/or auto mechanics.
• Experience with grounds maintenance/landscaping.
• Experience maintaining buildings, facilities, and grounds equipment.

Mansioni

• Perform semi-skilled trades in plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC and general facility maintenance.
• Operate various equipment and tools used in maintenance tasks.
• Purchase resources following state policies and procedures.
