Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources is seeking a Maintenance/Construction Technician II at Carvers Creek State Park. This role performs semi-skilled trades, maintains grounds, facilities, and equipment, and supports custodial duties and project work.

Typically Monday through Sunday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM; ability to work outside in various conditions; requires valid NC driver’s license and willingness to obtain required certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 1 year of progressive experience in the assigned trade areas.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.
• EPA certification may be required (Type I/II/III or Universal).
• Valid U.S. driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform semi-skilled trades in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and/or auto mechanics.
• Operate large and small equipment and tools.
• Maintain records and complete operational forms.
• Assist in housekeeping and grounds maintenance.
• May supervise temporary staff or volunteers on projects.
