Job summary

Glenview Park District is seeking a Tradesworker for Park & Facility Services—East. The role leads and performs skilled maintenance, repair, and improvements across building trades to keep parks, facilities, and infrastructure safe and efficient.

Responsibilities include coordinating projects, diagnosing issues, supporting budgeting, and ensuring high-quality work. Requires an Associate’s degree or trades certification and 5+ years of experience; valid IL driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• At least five years of relevant building trades experience required.
• Professional certification in a skilled building trade is preferred.
• Valid Illinois driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform skilled maintenance, repair, and improvement work across building trades.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair district parks, buildings, facilities, and infrastructure.
• Coordinate maintenance projects, assign tasks, and provide technical guidance.
• Diagnose issues, assist with budgeting and cost estimates, and plan projects.
