Job summary

Glencoe Park District is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to perform a range of facility maintenance tasks including minor electrical and plumbing repairs, painting, event setup, and equipment upkeep. The role supports daily operations, rentals, and seasonal events at the Weinberg Family Recreation Center and Glencoe Beach.

You will work under the Assistant Director of Parks and Maintenance, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and proper maintenance records, with opportunities to contribute

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED; relevant technical education or related work experience may be considered.
• Minimum of two years of experience in municipal or building maintenance.
• Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience accepted.
• Valid Illinois driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Ensure facilities are clean, safe, and prepared for daily operations, rentals, and events.
• Perform routine custodial duties and set up rooms per needs and workload.
• Collaborate with Parks Maintenance for seasonal preparations at Weinberg Recreation Center and Glencoe Beach.
• Support facility and grounds maintenance activities as assigned.
