Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources (DNCR) is hiring a Maintenance Construction Technician III for NC State Parks. The role maintains state park grounds, buildings, facilities, and equipment, supporting park rangers and maintenance staff with custodial duties, trail work, trash collection, mowing, and related tasks.

The position involves performing skilled trades, equipment maintenance, and compliance with state purchasing policies.

Qualifications

• Experience performing trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and auto mechanics.
• Experience in grounds maintenance/landscaping.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints or building codes.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled tasks across trades (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, auto mechanics).
• Operate a range of large and small tools and equipment.
• Purchase resources following state policies and procedures.
