Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources in Durham, NC, is seeking a Maintenance/Construction Technician II (S) to perform hands-on work maintaining grounds, buildings, facilities and equipment at Eno River State Park. Responsibilities include custodial tasks, trail work, mowing, boundary clearing, trash collection, and basic mechanical duties.

Schedule Mon-Fri 7am-4pm with potential evenings/weekends; a high school diploma or GED and 1 year of related experience are

Qualifications

• High school or GED diploma AND one year of progressive experience in the trade areas.
• May require EPA Type I/II/III or Universal technician certification.

Responsibilities

• Operations: basic maintenance and cleaning of facilities
• Groundskeeping: mowing, tractor operations
• Trail building and maintenance for footbridges and steps
• Basic automotive and small engine care including oil changes
