Job summary

The Diocese of Austin in Texas seeks a Parish Business Administrator to manage financial, administrative, personnel, and facilities functions for the parish, maintain reliable records, and ensure internal controls.

Reporting to the Pastor, you will advise on stewardship, develop the operating budget with leadership, oversee accounts payable/receivable, procurement, and human resources, and collaborate with diocesan offices to ensure compliance and efficient parish operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
• Five years of progressive experience in business administration, accounting, finance, or related operations.
• English proficiency in speaking and writing.
• Knowledge of diocesan policies and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Support and uphold Catholic ministry and parish mission.
• Advise the Pastor on stewardship and operational needs.
• Oversee financial operations including budgeting, accounting, and reporting.
• Coordinate personnel administration, payroll, and benefits coordination.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with diocesan policies.
• Lead administrative procedures and vendor management to support daily parish operations.
