Job summary

Stord is seeking a Transportation Area Manager to lead a warehouse team in our high-volume distribution center. You will own Sortation, Dock Management, and shipping operations, guiding a team to meet daily goals while coordinating with HR, Safety, and Customer Service.

The role requires 2–4 years in automated sortation/WMS environments, prior leadership, and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Strong communication and organization are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years’ experience with automated sortation systems, WMS, or Dock Management in high-volume facilities.
• Previous leadership experience is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience as an alternative to degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of warehouse associates and operations leads to meet daily goals.
• Own Sortation, Dock Management, and shipping department.
• Collaborate with HR, Safety, Customer Service and other Ops leaders to drive results.
• Address operational and personnel issues affecting the area.
• Implement process improvements and workload planning to ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Investigate discrepancies and variances; maintain quality standards across functions.
