Job summary

Stord is seeking a Transportation Area Manager to lead a warehouse operations team in North Haven, CT, focusing on sortation, dock management, and on-time shipping goals.

You will collaborate with HR, Safety, Customer Service, and other Ops leaders to drive results, address issues, and implement process improvements. Must have 2–4 years with automated sortation/WMS in high-volume facilities, and a Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years’ experience with automated sortation systems, WMS, and/or Dock Management in high‑volume facilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across management levels.
• Ability to lead teams, manage carriers and drivers, and drive tasks to completion.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of warehouse associates and operations leads to meet daily goals.
• Own Sortation, Dock Management, and shipping department performance.
• Collaborate with HR, Safety, Customer Service, and other Ops Leaders to drive results.
