Huntley Community School District 158's Huntley High School is seeking Paraprofessionals 1:1 Aides to support students with special needs throughout the day, assist with academics and daily routines, and help maintain safety during school hours.

You will work 10 months full-time under the HESPA classification, with potential stipends based on assignment and a benefits package including IMRF and insurance. Immediate start is preferred to ensure alignment with IEP goals.

Qualifications

• Must hold an ELS (Paraprofessional) license or PEL.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Basic math and computer skills; some general office skills required.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist student(s) with special needs throughout the day with academics and daily school routines. Will assist the student(s) in following a strict schedule and maintaining his/her safety while school is in session. Support the students and teacher to ensure success of each student in meeting his/her IEP goals. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS

MUST hold an ELS (Paraprofessional) license or Professional Educator License (PEL). Good written and oral communication skills, ability to communicate with all levels of staff, parents and students. Basic math and computer skills as well as some general office skills are needed.
