Job summary

Huntley Community School District 158 is seeking a Paraprofessional 1:1 Aide for the LIGHT Program. Start date is immediate. The position is 10 months, full-time, with an hourly wage of $18.03–$19.28.

You will assist student(s) with special needs throughout the day, help follow a strict schedule, support the teacher to meet IEP goals, and ensure student safety while school is in session.

Must hold an ELS Paraprofessional license or PEL, with good communication and basic math and computer skills.

WORK HOURS: 10 Months / Full-Time

RANGE OF PAY: $18.03- $19.28 / Hour. Additional stipends available based upon assignment

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist student(s) with special needs throughout the day with academics and daily school routines. Will assist the student(s) in following a strict schedule and maintaining his/her safety while school is in session. Support the students and teacher to ensure success of each student in meeting his/her IEP goals. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS

MUST hold an ELS (Paraprofessional) license or Professional Educator License (PEL). Good written and oral communication skills, ability to communicate with all levels of staff, parents and students. Basic math and computer skills as well as some general office skills are needed.
