Job summary

Huntley Community School District 158 seeks a Paraprofessional 1:1 Aide for Mackeben Elementary School in Illinois. The role starts immediately and is full-time for a 10-month period.

The aide will assist a student with special needs during academics and daily routines, following a strict schedule and ensuring safety while school is in session. Responsibilities include supporting the student and teacher to meet IEP goals and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Hold an ELS Paraprofessional license or a Professional Educator License (PEL).
• Good written and oral communication skills, ability to communicate with all levels of staff, parents and students.
• Basic math and computer skills as well as some general office skills are needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist student(s) with special needs throughout the day with academics and daily school routines.
• Assist the student(s) in following a strict schedule and maintaining safety while school is in session.
• Support the students and teacher to ensure success of each student in meeting his/her IEP goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

STARTING DATE: Immediately

WORK HOURS: 10 Months / Full-Time

RANGE OF PAY: $18.03- $19.28 / Hour. Additional stipends available based upon assignment

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist student(s) with special needs throughout the day with academics and daily school routines.
