Huntley Community School District 158 seeks a Paraprofessional - Program Aide at Leggee Elementary School for the 2026/2027 school year. The role supports students with special needs, follows a strict daily routine, and assists the teacher with classroom tasks to help students meet IEP goals.
Starting from a 10-month, full-time schedule, the position offers a structured environment with a pay range of $18.03–$19.28 per hour and benefits through HESPA, IMRF, voluntary retirement, and insurance.
Assist students with special needs throughout the day with academics and daily school routines. Will assist the students in following a strict schedule and maintaining his/her safety while school is in session. Assist the teacher with miscellaneous classroom tasks. Support the students and teacher to ensure success of each student in meeting his/her IEP goals. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
MUST hold an ELS (Paraprofessional) license or Professional Educator License (PEL). Good written and oral communication skills, ability to communicate with all levels of staff, parents and students. Basic math and computer skills as well as some general office skills are needed.
