Huntley Community School District 158 is seeking a Paraprofessional - Program Aides for Huntley High School for the 2026/2027 school year. The role is 10 months, full-time, with a pay range of $18.03–$19.28 per hour and additional stipends depending on assignment.

Responsibilities include assisting students with special needs, following a strict daily schedule, aiding the teacher with classroom tasks, and ensuring student safety and progress toward IEP goals.

Qualifications

• Must hold an ELS (Paraprofessional) license or Professional Educator License (PEL).
• Good written and oral communication skills, ability to communicate with all levels of staff, parents and students.
• Basic math and computer skills as well as some general office skills are needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with special needs throughout the day with academics and daily school routines.
• Follow a strict schedule and maintain student safety while school is in session.
• Assist the teacher with miscellaneous classroom tasks and support students to meet IEP goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

RANGE OF PAY: $18.03 - $19.28 / Hour. Additional stipends available depending on assignment.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist students with special needs throughout the day with academics and daily school routines. Will assist the students in following a strict schedule and maintaining his/her safety while school is in session. Assist the teacher with miscellaneous classroom tasks. Support the students and teacher to ensure success of each student in meeting his/her IEP goals. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS:

MUST hold an ELS (Paraprofessional) license or Professional Educator License (PEL). Good written and oral communication skills, ability to communicate with all levels of staff, parents and students. Basic math and computer skills as well as some general office skills are needed.
