Job summary

Lees Summit R-7 School District is seeking a Paraprofessional Specialist for the 2025-26 school year to support instructional programs in an assigned classroom, working one-on-one with at-risk students and assisting with IEP goals.

You will adapt activities, collect data, communicate with specialists, provide accommodations, and help maintain records, while modeling appropriate behaviors and collaborating with staff.

Qualifications

• Must have 60 college credit hours and pass MO paraprofessional test or Missouri 20-hour online substitute training.
• Ability to adapt classroom activities and materials under supervision.
• Experience with high-risk youth and implementing IEP objectives is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adapt activities and materials to support classroom objectives.
• Communicate with professionals to assist in evaluating progress and implementing IEP goals.
• Collect data on student performance and behavior to monitor growth and revise plans as needed.
• Provide accommodations and modifications to increase accessibility in general and special education settings.
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate records; model appropriate social behavior.
