Job summary

Qualifications

• Adhere to safety practices and maintain accurate records.
• Basic math and reading of manuals; communicate information to others as needed.
• Ability to adapt activities for at-risk students under supervision and meet IEP goals.

Responsibilities

• Adapt classroom activities and materials to reinforce objectives.
• Communicate with therapists, teachers, and staff to implement IEP objectives.
• Collect student data (behavior, assignments, task times) to monitor progress.
• Provide accommodations and modifications to increase accessibility in general and special education.
• Remain current on best practices to support students with disabilities.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information and records.
• Model appropriate social behavior and everyday interactions for students.
• Perform other duties to support classroom functioning.
• Provide instruction under teacher direction in various subject areas to support IEP goals.
• Monitor students across different school environments ensuring safety and de-escalation when needed.
• Respond to emergencies following district procedures.
