Job summary

The Illinois Association of School Administrators is seeking a dedicated paraprofessional to support students with special needs in a Huntley elementary setting. The role involves assisting with academics, daily routines, and maintaining safety while school is in session.

You will help the teacher with classroom tasks, monitor progress toward IEP goals, and support communication with staff, parents, and students.

Qualifications

• Must hold an ELS Paraprofessional license or PEL.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of staff, parents and students.
• Basic math and computer skills as well as some general office skills are needed.

Job description

Assist students with special needs throughout the day with academics and daily school routines. Will assist the students in following a strict schedule and maintaining his/her safety while school is in session. Assist the teacher with miscellaneous classroom tasks. Support the students and teacher to ensure success of each student in meeting his/her IEP goals. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications
