Job summary

Huntley Community School District 158 is seeking a Paraprofessional 1:1 Aide for the LIGHT Program. Start date is immediate. The position is 10 months, full-time, with an hourly wage of $18.03–$19.28.

You will assist student(s) with special needs throughout the day, help follow a strict schedule, support the teacher to meet IEP goals, and ensure student safety while school is in session.

Must hold an ELS Paraprofessional license or PEL, with good communication and basic math and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Must hold an ELS Paraprofessional license or PEL.
• Strong written and oral communication with staff, parents and students.
• Basic math and computer skills; basic office skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist student(s) with special needs throughout the day with academics and daily routines.
• Support the student(s) and teacher to ensure meeting IEP goals.
• Maintain safety and follow a strict schedule while school is in session.
