Huntley Community School District 158 is hiring a Paraprofessional - Program Aide to support students with special needs at Mackeben Elementary School. This full-time, 10-month position starts immediately and involves daily instructional support under the teacher’s guidance.

You will assist in following a structured schedule, help students meet their IEP goals, and ensure safety during school hours. A valid ELS paraprofessional license or PEL and strong communication skills are required.

• Good written and oral communication skills, ability to communicate with all levels of staff, parents and students.
• Basic math and computer skills as well as some general office skills are needed.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist students with special needs throughout the day with academics and daily school routines. Will assist the students in following a strict schedule and maintaining his/her safety while school is in session. Assist the teacher with miscellaneous classroom tasks. Support the students and teacher to ensure success of each student in meeting his/her IEP goals. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS
