Job summary

The Illinois Association of School Administrators is seeking a paraprofessional to assist students with special needs throughout the day, supporting academics and daily routines under the supervision of the teacher. Candidates must hold an ELS Paraprofessional license or a Professional Educator License (PEL) and possess strong communication, basic math and computer skills, plus general office abilities.

Qualifications

• MUST hold an ELS (Paraprofessional) license or Professional Educator License(PEL).
• Good written and oral communication skills, ability to communicate with all levels of staff, parents and students.
• Basic math and computer skills as well as some general office skills are needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with special needs throughout the day with academics and daily school routines.
• Assist the teacher with miscellaneous classroom tasks.
• Support the students and teacher to ensure success of each student in meeting his/her IEP goals.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Support the students and teacher to ensure success of each student in meeting his/her IEP goals. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
