HDR, Inc. is seeking a Computational Designer in Chicago to apply advanced computational methods to architectural projects and project delivery.

You will build parametric models, automate BIM tasks, and develop custom scripts to support design options, analysis, and reporting, collaborating across design teams. You will integrate Rhino/Grasshopper with Revit and ACC, drive data-driven design decisions, and produce visualizations and deliverables that align with project standards and

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Architecture or closely related field with 2 years of experience, or Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of experience in architecture/computational design.

Responsabilités

• Apply advanced computational design methods to architectural/infrastructure projects.
• Develop and implement custom computational tools and automation workflows.
• Create parametric models and design systems using Rhino, Grasshopper, and Rhino.Inside.Revit.
• Develop Python scripts to enhance BIM productivity and data extraction.
• Coordinate computational workflows with BIM platforms for model coordination and documentation.
• Produce analytical diagrams and 3D modeling outputs for design exploration and decision-making.
