Qualifications

• Graduation from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic program.
• If graduation is from a foreign medical school, must be licensed or certified for practice.
• Minimum of one year in a health care environment.
• Experience in a plasma or whole blood collection center or regulated setting preferred.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff per licensure.
• Interviews donors and reviews medical history to determine donation suitability.
• Consult with the Center Medical Director on medically related questions.
• Review test results and determine continued donor suitability; assess symptoms.
• Notify and counsel donors on reactive tests and refer for follow-up.
