Qualifikationen

• Graduation from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic medical training program.
• If graduation is from a foreign medical school, must be licensed as a physician or certified as an EMT.
• For NY: current licensure or certification in RN, MD or DO or reciprocal state.
• Minimum of one year in a health care environment.
• Experience in a plasma or whole blood collection center preferred.
• Ability to perform physical assessments of heart and lungs and identify signs of drug use.

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis under supervision.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff per licensure.
• Interview donors and review medical history to determine eligibility.
• Consult with Center Medical Director on donor questions and guidance.

• Counsel donors on reactive tests and refer for follow‑up.
