Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support donor eligibility, adverse event management, and test result review at a Takeda-operated plasma center in Mount Pleasant, WI. You will work under the Center Manager and Center Physician, adhering to plasma collection regulations and internal SOPs.

The role requires EMT-Paramedic licensure, CPR/AED certification, and two years of clinical experience, with state IV therapy requirements fulfilled.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program.
• Currently licensed or certified as EMT-Paramedic in the state of responsibility.
• CPR and AED certification current.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Two years of clinical or hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history, physical exam, testing and SER Py review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical/technical issues.
• Support vaccination programs (Hepatitis B, Seasonal Flu) for employees where applicable.
• Manage employee incidents with Occupational Health/EHS guidance.
