Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services seeks a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to determine donor eligibility, manage adverse events, review lab results, and communicate test outcomes. You will work under the Center Manager and Center Physician to ensure patient safety and compliance in a fast-paced plasma collection center.

You must hold EMT-Paramedic licensure, current CPR/AED certifications, and state IV therapy requirements.

Qualifications

• Licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: EMT-Paramedic.
• CPR and AED certification are current.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy and FDA training.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including consent, AIDS education, self-exclusion, medical history, and acceptance requirements.
• Review donor medical history, physicals, and laboratory results; monitor adverse events.
• Follow SOPs for medical emergencies and donor transport to care facilities.
• Support vaccination programs for employees and assist with occupational health issues.
