Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations at the Kyle, Texas facility. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable results, under the guidance of the Center Manager and Center Physician.

The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, patient safety, and collaboration with Medical Affairs and EHS.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education and confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing SPE.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies following SOPs and Center Physician guidance.
• Support vaccination programs for employees and coordinate with EHS on incidents and investigations, with potential Pandemic Coordinator duties as authorized.
