Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Springfield, MO is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to ensure donor safety and center operations. You will assess eligibility, monitor adverse events, review lab results, and notify donors of test outcomes, under supervision of the Center Manager and Center Physician.

The role requires EMT-Paramedic licensure, current CPR/AED, and at least two years in a clinical setting. Must be licensed in Missouri and able to work on-site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and EMT-Paramedic license or certification.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history, and acceptance requirements.
• Evaluate donor reactions and coordinate medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unclear findings.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents per EHS guidance.
