Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Springfield, MO is seeking a Paramedic (EMT-P) to determine donor eligibility, manage adverse events, review laboratory results, and notify donors of unsuitable results. You will work under a Center Manager and Center Physician guidance to ensure donor safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires an EMT-Paramedic license, CPR/AED certification, and 2 years in a clinical setting, with FDA-approved BioLife training and IV therapy requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent to include nursing program
• Currently licensed or certified as EMT-Paramedic in the applicable state
• CPR and AED certification is current
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy
• Complete FDA-approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent and confidentiality requirements
• Perform physical examinations and review donor lab results
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for complex findings
• Support vaccination programs for employees and incident reporting per EHS guidelines
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator if authorized and assist investigations
