Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, is seeking a Part-Time Medical Support Specialist (Paramedic/LPN) at the Spartanburg, SC plasma center. You will determine donor eligibility, review test results, manage adverse events, and assist in medical and safety programs under supervision of the Center Manager and Center Physician.

Requirements include EMT-Paramedic licensure in the state, CPR/AED certification, IV therapy capability, and at least two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent including graduation from an accredited nursing program with state requirements.
• Currently licensed or certified in the state of assignment: EMT-Paramedic.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, consent, medical history interview and acceptance criteria.
• Conduct physical examinations and review laboratory test results.
• Assess donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for abnormal findings.
• Support vaccination programs and occupational health procedures.
• Coordinate with EHS on donor and employee safety and incidents.
