Job summary

Duke Life Flight, part of Duke Health, is seeking a Paramedic III to join our critical care transport team operating in Henderson, NC and Durham, NC. The role entails night shifts (7p–7a) and working across ground and air transport with multidisciplinary teams.

Candidates should have NC Paramedic Certification, ALS experience, and pursue FP-C within 2 years of hire; ongoing credentialing and safety are emphasized throughout the program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• North Carolina Paramedic Certification is required.
• Minimum ALS experience; three years preferred.
• FP-C within 2 years of hire.
• ACLS, PALS, ITLS (or PHTLS) certification required within 6–24 months.

Responsibilities

• Obtain pertinent history and perform a physical examination.
• Provide care in a critical care transport environment.
• Maintain equipment and plan for transport needs.
• Communicate with Medical Control and healthcare team for continuity of care.
• Assist with patient care on ALS/I transports and document in EMR.
