Job summary

Duke Health's Life Flight team seeks a Paramedic II to deliver direct patient care across ALS transport operations. You will work with interdisciplinary teams to perform essential procedures, document care, and maintain equipment and vehicle readiness at the Durham base.

Required NC Paramedic certification (or eligibility), BLS/ACLS/PALS; NRP within 6 months. This role involves shift rotations, a strong safety culture, and continuous learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina Paramedic certification or ability to obtain in NC.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS required.
• NRP within 6 months of hire.
• EVOC certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care per Paramedic scope of practice.
• Assist with evaluation, treatment and care of patients.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
• Operate and maintain medical equipment and vehicle.
• Support education and outreach programs as assigned.
• Provide staffing coverage to all bases as needed.
