Duke Health is seeking a Paramedic II for its Life Flight program based in Durham. You will provide direct ALS/BLS patient care, support interdisciplinary teams, and operate EMS equipment with strict adherence to NC Medical Board guidelines.

Experience with prehospital care, neonatal/pediatric considerations, and multiple certifications is preferred. This position supports rotations and ongoing education within the Life Flight team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Associates Degree preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct patient care per Paramedic scope of practice.
• Assist clinical staff in evaluation, treatment and care of patients.
• Monitor patients and maintain records using EMR and patient monitoring systems.
• Document and maintain accurate medical records to initiate charges.
• Communicate essential information to the healthcare team to support continuity of care.
• Operate medical equipment and ensure proper functioning; restock supplies as needed.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment; follow PPE and safety policies.
• Support education and development of staff and learners; participate in performance improvement activities.
