Job summary

Duke Life Flight, part of Duke Health, seeks a Paramedic III for ground and air transport based in Henderson, NC with duties across the Duke Life Flight program.

You will provide direct patient care in ALS/PALS scope, operate aircraft and ambulances, maintain certifications, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams. Nights 7p–7a; 16 weeks orientation; relocation and a $7500 commitment bonus available.

Qualifications

• Must hold NC Paramedic certification and be eligible for Advanced Cardiac life support credentials.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ambulance/EMS patient care experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain FP-C within 2 years of hire and maintain certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in ALS/BLS transports as per NCOEMS scope.
• Perform rapid primary and focused secondary assessments with documentation.
• Operate and coordinate care across ground and air transport teams.
• Maintain equipment, vehicle readiness, and supply inventories.
• Collaborate with medical staff and families to ensure continuity of care.
