Duke University Health System’s Life Flight team is seeking a Paramedic II to provide direct patient care across ALS I/II and BLS transports, supported by a multidisciplinary team. The role involves rigorous adherence to medical protocols, documentation, and coordination with nurses, clinicians, and pilots.

Location is Durham, NC with 3–12 hour shifts; candidates must maintain NC paramedic certification and complete required trainings (PHTLS/BTLS/ITLS, ACLS, PALS).

Formación

• Current North Carolina Paramedic certification or ability to obtain certification in NC
• Trauma course (PHTLS/BTLS/ITLS) preferred
• BL S, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (within hire)

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct patient care in ALS/BLS transports within scope of Paramedic practice
• Assist clinical staff in evaluation, treatment, and care of patients
• Document patient status and care in electronic medical records
• Maintain safe and therapeutic environment for patients, visitors, and staff
• Support continuing education outreach and professional development
