Job summary

Indiana University Health in Lafayette, IN seeks a Paramedic for full-time midshift (10am-10:30pm) to care for ill/injured patients in emergency and non-emergency settings. You will start IVs, administer meds, and collaborate with RNs in trauma cases, while educating patients on discharge instructions.

Qualifications

• Graduate of EMT certification program and Paramedic Training Program with state licensure.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Knowledge of pharmacology and medication side effects.
• Ability to observe and report changes in patient condition.
• Familiarity with aseptic/sterile techniques and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Will begin IVs and administer medications in emergency and non-emergency settings.
• Work alongside RNs during trauma situations and provide patient care.
• Provide patient education and discharge information.
• Follow regulatory and hospital policies; operate within Indiana EMS scope.
