Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a Paramedic to care for ill or injured patients in emergency and non-emergency settings. The role includes patient transport, relaying critical information, and operating within Indiana Paramedic scope, with adherence to safety and hospital policies.

Requirements include ACLS, BLS, PALS certification, EMT-P Indiana Paramedic license, and relevant NIMS and EVOC training with probationary completions for certain certifications. Experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certification; EMT-P Indiana Paramedic license.
• BLS required upon hire; ACLS required upon hire.
• PALS or equivalent to be obtained within initial probationary period.
• EVOC or equivalent within initial probationary period.
• NIMS 100, 200, 700, 800 within initial probationary period.
• Minimum of 1 year ALS Paramedic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care, transport, and treatment of ill/injured patients in emergency and non-emergency situations.
• Relays information regarding patient condition to the team.
• Operates within the scope of an Indiana Paramedic and adheres to safety and hospital policies.
• May drive ambulance to referral hospitals and assist with records and reports.
