Job summary

Indiana University Health, Inc. is seeking a full-time Paramedic for 12-hour shifts in Indianapolis. You will care for patients in both emergency and non-emergency settings, transport when needed, and relay critical information to medical teams.

Position requires ACLS, BLS, PALS and an Indiana Paramedic license; EVOC/NIMS certifications within probation; and 1 year of ALS Paramedic experience preferred. Ability to operate under pressure and adhere to protocols is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• ACLS; BLS; PALS; EMT-P Indiana Paramedic license required.
• BLS required upon hire.
• ACLS required upon hire.
• PALS or its equivalency to be obtained within initial probationary period.
• EVOC or its equivalency must be obtained within initial probationary period.
• NIMS 100, 200, 700, 800 to be obtained with initial probationary period.
• Minimum of 1 year ALS Paramedic experience preferred.
• Ability to make independent, clinical and operational competent decisions in a challenging environment.

Responsibilities

• Care for, transport, and treat ill/injured patients in emergency and non-emergency situations.
• Relay and receive information regarding patient condition.
• Comply with regulatory requirements, safety policies, and hospital policies; operate within Indiana paramedic scope.
• May drive ambulance and record time of ambulance run; may process billing and daily reports.
