Job summary

Monroe Hospital in Bloomington, Indiana is seeking a Paramedic to join the ED team for night shifts, under the supervision of the staff nurse and/or physician. The role includes triage, assessment, patient education and developing the plan of care for patients.

Required are a High School Diploma or equivalent, current Paramedic licensure, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certs with at least one year of Paramedic experience preferred; ACLS/PALS must be maintained within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Current state Paramedic Licensure required.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• One year experience as Paramedic preferred.
• Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Triage, assessment, patient education, and plan of care for ED patients under supervision.
• Assist with patient care under the direction of the ED RN or physician.
• Maintain a safe environment and support team as needed.
