Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Cedar Falls, IA is hiring a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse). You will determine donor eligibility, monitor reactions, review test results, and notify donors of unsuitable results. The role works under the Center Manager and Center Physician to ensure safety and quality in plasma collection.

The position is part-time, on site, with a sign-on bonus of $5000. Requirements include EMT-Paramedic license, CPR/AED, and 2 years clinical experience.

Qualifications

• EMT-Paramedic license or certification required by state.
• CPR and AED certification current.
• Qualified to perform basic IV therapy as per state rules.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Familiarity with plasma collection regulations and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent and medical history.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical/technical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Coordinate with EHS for occupational health matters and incident investigations.
