Responsibilities

• Provide basic and advanced life support treatment, care, and evaluation of patients.
• Identify, intervene, and stabilize ill or injured patients under the supervision of a physician and/or Registered Nurse.
• Initiate and implement interventions based on transport team protocols.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition and treatment as appropriate.
• Provide population-specific education to patients and families about illnesses and interventions.
• Inspect, maintain, and care for equipment to ensure safety for the transport team, patients, and the public.

Requirements

• Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) within 1 month of hire or transfer. One or more of the following required: NREMT Emergency Medical Tech, Oklahoma EMS Paramedic. Advanced Life Support preferred. Oklahoma Driver’s License preferred. Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred.
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience, or an Associate’s/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable experience.

Additional Preferences

• BLS required. ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.
