The Opportunity

This is a field-based position supporting Abbott’s Vascular division, which provides innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective products for vascular disease treatment. Our portfolio includes drug-eluting stents, guide wires, balloon catheters, imaging catheters and software, vessel closure devices, peripheral stents, thrombectomy catheters, and atherectomy devices.

We currently have an opportunity for a Clinical Specialist, Coronary, based in the Inland Empire. The Clinical Specialist will primarily be responsible for case planning, case support coverage, and product pull-through throughout the designated territory and region as needed. The role involves promoting Vascular products through education, service, and training of hospital customers. The Clinical Specialist will provide clinical education and sales support to achieve sales goals, increase revenues, and grow market share, with a focus on Vessel Closure.

What You’ll Work On
  • Serve as the technical procedure and product expert in support of case coverage in hospital settings.
  • Meet with existing and potential customers to identify clinical needs and demonstrate how Vascular products can help achieve their goals.
  • Develop relationships with hospital personnel and identify key decision-makers.
  • Provide clinical support during procedures, troubleshooting, and in-service education for company products.
  • Educate customers on product usage through presentations and demonstrations using various formats.
  • Attend clinical procedures in labs and operating rooms to ensure customer and patient success with Vascular products.
  • Respond to customer needs and complaints, developing solutions or collaborating with related personnel.
  • Support broader regional case support as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5+ years of related work experience.
  • Ability to travel 50% within the assigned region.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with patient interaction in a lab or operating room environment.
  • Relevant technical certification.
