Summary of Job Duties: The Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM), APRN, provides antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and women’s health patient care services. Responsibilities include providing women’s health, prenatal, and postpartum care, triaging women in Labor and Delivery, and managing care for healthy women admitted during labor, delivery, and postpartum. CNMs conduct health assessments, diagnose, implement treatment plans, prescribe treatments, and manage health issues independently or collaboratively. They work autonomously and as part of interdisciplinary teams, serve as healthcare resources, and participate in research and teaching activities.
