Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking a Paralegal Manager to administer the firmwide Paralegal Program, drive efficiency, and foster professional development. The role supports complex tort, regulatory, and litigation matters with large teams of paralegals and collaboration with cross-functional leaders.

The ideal candidate will have multi‑jurisdictional mass tort experience, strong leadership, and a track record of improving processes and team performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in legal studies, business administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience in legal or Complex Torts.
• Minimum 3 years of Paralegal experience in corporate, regulatory, or Complex Tort litigation.
• Strong judgement, organizational, and time-management skills.
• High level of professional integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, prioritization and communication skills.
• Experience with performance management and policy enforcement.
• Collaborative approach and adaptability to evolving business demands.

Responsibilities

• Lead paralegal teams and ensure delivery of excellent services to stakeholders.
• Oversee paralegal work allocation and identify hiring recommendations.
• Coordinate onboarding and regular firmwide communications.
• Develop industry-related training programs with Practice Specialty Center Leaders.
• Manage the paralegal mentoring program.
• Support performance evaluations and compensation recommendations.
• Improve productivity and implement reporting methodologies.
• Identify inefficiencies and drive operational improvements.
