Job summary

Weber Gallagher Simpson Stapleton Fires and Newby seeks an experienced defense Litigation Paralegal for our Commercial Transportation Practice Group. The role offers the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in Pennsylvania and supports attorneys from inception through trial.

The successful candidate will manage case files, review documents, prepare trial binders, handle time-entry billing, and maintain the court calendar while meeting all deadlines and maintaining high attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in defense litigation support.
• Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA approved organization.
• Excellent attention to detail and organization skills.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workload.
• Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams of attorneys, staff, clients, and witnesses.
• Demonstrated interest in defense litigation.
• Ability to perform legal research, experience with Lexis is a plus.
• Familiarity with reviewing and obtaining medical records.
• Experience with time entry billing in a law firm setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Paralegal – Commercial Transportation/Litigation - Remote from PA

Weber Gallagher has an immediate opening for an experienced defense Litigation Paralegal for our Commercial Transportation Practice Group. The candidate will have the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in Pennsylvania. The individual will be responsible for supporting a team of attorneys with litigation tasks from inception through trial and close.

Responsibilities

• Manage client cases from inception through trial and closing.
• Daily time entry billing requirements.
• Obtain, review, analyze and summarize documents, including medical records, financial documents and other relevant case information.
• Trial preparation – such as trial binders, exhibits and preparing witness files.
• Manage court docket calendar.
• Create status reports and provide updates to appropriate parties.
• Willingness to work on cases from start to finish and meet all court deadlines.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience, preferably in defense litigation support.
• Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA approved organization.
