Job summary

Weber Gallagher Simpson Stapleton Fires & Newby LLP is seeking an experienced defense litigation paralegal for our Commercial Transportation Practice Group. The role offers remote work from Pennsylvania and supporting a team of attorneys from inception through trial and closing.

Responsibilities include managing cases, time-entry billing, document review and summarization, trial preparation, and status reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA approved organization.
• 3+ years of experience in defense litigation support.
• Excellent attention to detail and organization skills.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workload.
• Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams of attorneys, staff, clients, and witnesses.
• Experience with time entry billing in a law firm setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Paralegal – Commercial Transportation/Litigation - Remote from PA

Weber Gallagherhas an immediate opening foran experienced defense Litigation Paralegalfor our Commercial Transportation Practice Group. The candidate will have the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in Pennsylvania. The individual will be responsible forsupporting a team of attorneys with litigation tasks from inception through trial and close.

Responsibilities:

• Manage client cases from inception through trial and closing.
• Daily time entry billing requirements.
• Obtain, review, analyze and summarize documents, including medical records, financial documents and other relevant case information.
• Trial preparation – such as trial binders, exhibits and preparing witness files.
• Create status reports and provide updates to appropriate parties.
• Willingness to work on cases from start to finish and meet all court deadlines.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 3+ yearsof experience, preferably in defense litigationsupport.
• Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA approved organization.
• Excellent attention to detail and organization skills.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to meet all deadlines and prioritize workload.
• Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams of attorneys, legal staff, court staff, clients, expert witnesses, etc.
• Demonstrated interest in defense litigation.
• Ability to perform legal research, experience with Lexisa plus.
• Familiarity with reviewing and obtaining medical records.
• Experience with time entry billing in a law firm setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, required.
