Job summary

Weber Gallagher Simpson Stapleton Fires & Newby LLP. seeks an experienced defense Litigation Paralegal for the Commercial Transportation Practice Group.

The position offers the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in Pennsylvania, supporting attorneys from inception through trial and close. Responsibilities include managing cases, daily time entry billing, document analysis, trial preparation, status reporting and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of defense litigation support experience.
• Bachelor’s degree and/or ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate.
• Excellent attention to detail and organization.
• Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with legal research; Lexis+ familiarity is a plus.
• Familiarity with reviewing medical records and time-entry billing in a law firm.

Responsibilities

Paralegal – Commercial Transportation/Litigation - Remote from PA

Weber Gallagher has an immediate opening for an experienced defense Litigation Paralegal for our Commercial Transportation Practice Group. The candidate will have the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in Pennsylvania. The individual will be responsible for supporting a team of attorneys with litigation tasks from inception through trial and close.

Responsibilities:

• Manage client cases from inception through trial and closing.
• Daily time entry billing requirements.
• Obtain, review, analyze and summarize documents, including medical records, financial documents and other relevant case information.
• Trial preparation – such as trial binders, exhibits and preparing witness files.
• Create status reports and provide updates to appropriate parties.
• Willingness to work on cases from start to finish and meet all court deadlines.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 3+ yearsof experience, preferably in defense litigationsupport.
• Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA approved organization.
• Excellent attention to detail and organization skills.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to meet all deadlines and prioritize workload.
• Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams of attorneys, legal staff, court staff, clients, expert witnesses, etc.
• Demonstrated interest in defense litigation.
• Ability to perform legal research, experience with Lexisa plus.
• Familiarity with reviewing and obtaining medical records.
• Experience with time entry billing in a law firm setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, required.
