Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) seeks a Mid-Level Paralegal to join the Legal Department, supporting a fast-paced portfolio of government-related accounts. You will assist with document review, legal research, and preparation of briefs, motions, and discovery materials.

The role emphasizes accuracy, timely deliverables, and collaboration with FBI-related and other government teams, with opportunities for professional growth in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Requires paralegal certificate, or JD, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least one year of study
• At least two years of litigation paralegal experience is required; trial experience is very helpful
• At least one year of experience in automated litigation support; knowledge of federal/state court systems and legal research resources
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw
• Hands-on familiarity with word processing, databases, spreadsheets, imaging and discovery tools
• Experience with ESI tools and eDiscovery procedures; ability to deliver high-quality work under pressure

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, accurate, timely, and reliable paralegal support reporting to the OGC, with duties aligned to LITB/IALB
• Research and locate responsive information documents and identify relevant laws, decisions, and articles
• Perform moderately complex legal research and summarize transcripts for attorneys
• Assist in drafting legal memoranda, correspondence, and preliminary drafts of legal documents
• Support preparation of motions, briefs, and exhibits; assist attorneys in all phases of litigation
• Review discovery materials for relevancy and privilege; maintain privilege logs and case management records
• Maintain detailed case notes and metrics in the OGC-LITB databases; generate reports
• Prepare declarations, preservation notices, and litigation holds; coordinate with subject matter experts
• Coordinate classification reviews and overlays; collaborate with discovery team members; ensure timely statuses
