Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is seeking a dedicated Paralegal to join a fast-paced legal team. You will support various aspects of the company's portfolio, reporting to the Office of General Counsel, with a focus on litigation support and document review.

The role requires paralegal certification or JD, plus two years of litigation experience, strong research skills, and proficiency with Lexis/Westlaw and eDiscovery tools. This on-site position offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Requires paralegal certificate, or JD, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, with at least one year of study.
• At least two years of litigation paralegal experience; trial experience helpful.
• At least one year of automated litigation support; knowledge of federal and state court systems.
• Excellent written and oral communication; thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.
• Hands-on familiarity with word processing, databases, spreadsheets, imaging, and ESI tools.

Responsibilities

• Receive, prioritize, and process requests such as document review or requests for legal advice.
• Research and locate responsive information and identify relevant laws and decisions.
• Perform moderately complex legal research and summarize transcripts for attorneys.
• Draft preliminary memoranda and correspondence; assist in preparing draft legal documents.
• Review discovery materials for relevancy and privilege; prepare privilege logs.
• Maintain case documentation and generate case-management reports.
• Collaborate with attorneys and government employees to ensure timely deliverables.
